That's a fact.

I realize that it is incredibly childish on the part of the American people, but that's the reality. John Edwards' sex life ought to be no one's business but his, and where he puts his penis has absolutely no relation to his policies or how competent a president he would have been.

And as much as I'd like for the American people to grow up, they haven't yet.

I am not ashamed of John Edwards for having an affair. I am ashamed of John Edwards for putting the future of the country at risk. We should all consider ourselves lucky that he didn't win the primaries.

2. Not only that, but remember, they said the same thing about Clinton!
Remember Bill & Hill apprearing on 60 Minutes? The media were all saying he was toast! Ya never know!

4. i wouldn't call it childish, necessarily
such explosive secrets can wind up issues of national security... if someone knew about it, they could use that knowledge to blackmail the president. While this is relatively minor, the public may be justifiably wary that someone who would lie publicly about an affair may be hiding other secrets that could jeopardize the office or the country.

Its never "just sex" when its the President.
