Does this remind anyone of "Ice-9" from Cat's Cradle?

US military looks to 'black ice'

The US military has appealed to scientists to help develop a novel weapon - artificial black ice.

The plastic-like substance, the brainchild of the US Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa), would be used to force slip-ups from enemies.

The "polymer ice" would be designed for hot, arid environments, "as found in Iraq and Afghanistan", it said.

Ice-9 was a bit more deadly. Overall though this is some interesting shit. One thing that bothers me though. If they have a spray that gives you traction on black ice. WHY IS IT NOT ON OUR FUCKING TIRES!!! Our taxes pay for this research no? Another invention that could save lives stolen by the military for the express purpose of ending them.

10. True, Ice-9 was a different monster
pretty much ended all life on earth if I remember correctly. Its the diseases that they'll do that with not ice.

12. And the best part is, it's perfectly safe to spray all over the place.
