I wonder if the photo used infrared technology and that's why it was so blurry. If they knew the hotel room, they could have had a stakeout and taken pictures through a window.

and not a T-shirt (I think it is a polo shirt in the photograph).

Still, it was confusing. Is it him, or is it not him? If it is him, I can accept his explanation that he had had many pictures holding babies.

I think Edwards just made it worse for himself by doing this interview. Just issue a statement admitting you fucked up, lied and you're sorry. No need for an interview.

Now, reporters are going to be digging around trying to find out if he lied about that baby not being his, the pay offs and if he was still seeing that woman after 2006.

None of this matters to the presidential race. Thank goodness he didn't gain traction during the primary season.

I just feel sick. That interview was far from damage control. They were paying that woman hush money. I am not sure if she was blackmailing him, or if he was just trying to cover his ass.

I have a very strong feeling she will conveniently decline DNA testing.

I have always felt Edwards is sincere and honest as the day is long, but tonight I did not believe a word he said.

I feel sick at heart.

These women are a dime a dozen and politicians attract them like a magnet. People who know her have said she's in love with him and believes that she'll end up married to him once his wife is gone. That's exactly what Monica thought. He most likely met with her and paid her to keep her quiet, but I doubt she'll stay quiet now, especially if it's his kid.

60. I think the photo is bullshit. NE does it all the time - they have
the story right - there was an affair -- and he was at the hotel. BUT, that was weeks ago and
they didn't have a pic. There were many cameramen there when he was trying to escape and hid
in the bathroom. But, the hotel security wouldn't let them take any pictures. So NE - knowing
they had the story right - manufactured the pictures. Their reporting weeks ago said that he
was alone with her in one room and that McGovern guy in another with the baby.

he held many babies over the years (as politicians do). So it could be a photo of him holding some other baby some other time? I dunno.
Still, the woman did bring the baby with her to the hotel. Why did she bring someone's baby to the hotel for her meeting with Edwards?
