Okay...I can't hold back any longer! I've never been an Edwards Fan but This Stuff Reeks!

Photo Shopped Photos..after the "Big Build Up" by "NI" and then it comes at such an "oppertune time" for Edwards who was the Dem Party's "Populist Candidate!"

The whole thing from Cockburn posting his Libertarian (or whatever) thingy on the "Nation" where he just repeats "smears" (and when has Cockburn ever been either a "Populist/Progressive?") to my local NC "Downsized McClatchy Newscorp who now posts the same on "Raleigh News & Observer" as what goes on the "Charlotte Observer."

I can understand that the "Swiftboaters" want to make sure that we Democrats are PUSHED into Defending or Denying the Edwards Love Child. And that the Obama Campaign wants this ALL OVER so that it doesn't BREAK before the DEM CONVENTION ..so that NC Edwards Funders and Campaign Op's and Supporters are now calling for Edwards to "Fess Up and get that DNA!" BUT...BUT...BUT!!!!

If Edwards does what the NC Newspapers are saying his "former supporters are calling for" (and remember that NC is in PLAY as a "Pink State"...maybe going for Obama in '08) and he files Lawsuit agains "NI" and submits to DNA TEST...then it's NEWS STORY #1 from HERE TO NOVEMBER about EDWARDS and NOT about the DEM CONVENTION or CANDIDACY!

WHO would be behind PUSHING THIS STORY about EDWARDS? THINK? Swiftboaters trying to Position themselves to Distract and Destroy another Dem Candidate.

If Edwards has the "Love Child" or "NOT." He's DAMNED IF HE DOES ...and DAMNED IF HE DOESN'T..and the Swift Boaters know this and will use it to their ADVANTAGE...like they did before.

We DEMS SHOULD NOT...TAKE THE BAIT! Don't be SUCKERS for PHOTO SHOP!

This story is best ignored....and Edwards has PLENTY OF TIME TO COUNTER...AFTER NOVEMBER 4th!

They came out with it way back when she was pregnant. It was bound to blow up in Edward's face sooner or later. If it isn't true he needs to sue or discount it with proof.

Edwards has commented saying it was nothing more than trash, and a pack of lies.

So until the Enquirer gets any sort of evidence, I'll believe Edwards. And the Enquirer has a sketchy image and no real credibility in journalism for a reason. Stuff like this.

It's a planned distraction and a smear on someone who can still influence the outcome of the election. The question to ask is why are they afraid of Edwards? Is it because there might be a chance that Obama might name him AG? Then that whole Mayberry Machiavellis crowd would be very vulnerable to investigations, wouldn't they?

for $1,000 and they are anatomically and otherwise correct. That isn't any photo of Edwards...and they don't even have a true photo of him "supposedly running white faced in shock" from their prying eyes at "Hotel California!"

The photos are crap. Without "believable" photos what is the story? :shrug:

And that's whatever THEY determine it to be. They are moral, courageous people. Whatever they choose to do is AOK with me. May their attackers rot in hell.

And it would be wonderful if this was the last post on the subject.

all the time- they have the story but no pics. I think the hotel staff wouldn't let them
take any when Edwards left. But, there are eye witnesses to him being there - not just
reporters but hotel staff.

No matter what - he was there. No matter what, he didn't explain why he is at a hotel
he wasn't booked in - that the same woman he was accused of having an affair with was staying
at - and it's 2am. and he did not offer any explanation.

Now, all of us can say until we are blue in the face - that it's his personal life, personal
business. He doesn't owe anyone any explanation.

But, you can't simply ignore the ways of the world and of politics. This whole thing, if true, is a
career buster. And I can not believe that if you thought the VP slot depended on
your reputation - especially with an ill wife at home - you wouldn't WANT to explain your
ass off.

the "NE" trying to gain back some creds since their readership is shrinking? (Remember the George & Laura Breakup the were going after just before the '06 Election and the Elvis Sightings along with UFO Stories?)

So..maybe the "NE" get's stuff correctly 1/4th of the time...maybe it's a little higher. So...they know folks think they get "SOME STUFF CORRECTLY" so which story do they go with to believe they got the correct one? "Elvis sighting in UFO or John Edwards in a fake shot (where he's a "buffed up muscular guy in T-Shirt" holding that "Baby Love" justaposed with him looking up at a "ballon in sky like idiot geek" on the lower left hand.

I've seen both of these photo's posted...but "NE" photoshopped body parts and "draperies" and "baby" and the rest onto these incredibly crude photoshop products.

Who are you gonna' believe. "Me or your Lying Eyes?" :shrug: Or the incredibly bogus reporting that could have been "paid for" including the "Security Guard" interview with Fox. Why didn't anyone else interview the Security Guard of the Hotel? And why did Edwards clothing observed by the "NE" reporters not jive with the "photoshopped photos" supposedly proving he was there?

No Southern Guy of Edwards Heritage ever shows up in a "Sweat Stained T-Shirt" to visit his "mistress and their baby." It's just not the culture! ...and Edwards is definitely a product of his "culture."

I say this as a "raised in SC..now living in NC" cultural maven about the SOUTH. BTW...I lived in the NE for a very long time...so I have perceptions/observations about culture/ having lived in both places...for what it's worth.

and not discuss this - but that won't make it go away. Forget the photoshop stuff - they didn't get a real pick because the
hotel wouldn't let them.

But for argument sake,let's say the story is 100% fabricated. Just think about one fact - if you were in
serious contention to be a VP, and you knew your reputation was of utmost importance to the masses
and you were totally innocent, completely, you weren't even there - despite eyewitnesses (who you
say are all lying) wouldn't you be screaming off the rooftops? If he wasn't there at all, it would be really
easy to put an end to this story - at least say where you were. If you were there - it is a million to one
odds that you would be there innocently at 2 am at the same hotel your supposed mistress was.

He said he would fight back; well, this is the classic case of a time to fight back. Don't blame everyone else. When will Edwards step forward and say the story is false? Why won't Hunter and Young step forward and say enough is enough? Why all the silence and dodging reporters? Instead of all the conspiracy theories, when is anyone going to ask why Edwards is letting this stuff just SIT out there?

I think he's right in ignoring it for now and not giving the press anything more to report on.

Seriously. How hard would that be for him to do? If the child truly isn't his, the mother would certainly take some spit from the child (it's probably drooling anyway) and hand it over. They could then compare swabs of Edwards' saliva.

It's no big thing now. Really.

child support and she apparently hasn't, so I think there is nothing to this story. She evidently did get pregnant while working for Edwards with another staffer. It seems that this staffer would be the appropriate choice for a paternity test not Edwards.

The same rag that talks about Dr. Phil's wife kicking him out and leaving him and then having a picture of Dr. Phil carrying a bag out of what appears to be his house on the cover of their rag sheet.

The picture actually was of Dr. Phil leaving for the beach from a beach house while he was on vacation, carrying a bag full of suntan lotions, hair brushes, combs, towels, etc.

When you get your political news from the National Enquirer, you don't need swiftboaters!!!
