It's not all politics
Thousands of young people all over the world have trained for this one moment. It's sometimes a lonely endeavor. Some of my track and field work:

Some make it, most don't.

Just breathtaking! Are you an official photographer there?

My nephew is heading over for his first year at Wazoo shortly. I was excited to see "Cougars" in your shots.

:hi:

3. I just sent him the pics --
via my brother (his dad) who's also a photographer of sorts.

I'm so glad to hear your reviews about the towns. They'll be a change for him (from Seattle) but I know he'll have a wonderful experience.

Thanks again for posting these. Your comment was very poignant. :hi:

6. You are so kind! I'll pass them along, and I know they'll be much

appreciated.

He's played football since he was in grade school, was kind of the star in grade school, but didn't get off the bench much in High School. :( I actually thought he might get a scholarship out of it, but it wasn't meant to be.

Edit - I thought you said baseball -- but see the basketball. He played that all through grade school, too. Big sports family. :7

Thank you again!! :pals:

8. What's the superlative of "so what"?
That was a question SF author Eric Frank Russell had one of his characters rhetorically ask as a way of expressing supreme indifference.

I was astounded when I posed that question to a former colleague and he instantly came up with an answer. His response enables me to give an appropriate reply to your post, which is not in the sports section but in General Discussion:

SO FUCKING WHAT?
