3. with like 25-30 yards to go? lezak overcame that distance?
that was one of the most incredible things i have ever seen in any sport.

truly amazing.

and not just for the americans.

the world record was surpassed by 4 seconds tonight.

not milliseconds. not even a humongous half second.

four seconds. if you are unfamiliar with these world records, that's like winning a superbowl 1000-7.

even the fifth placed team tonight beat the existing world record. that's what we saw tonight. that's how hard each and every athlete went at this event tonight.

wow... that was amazing...

i don't know if i will ever see that in sports again...

4. Yes, it was really AMAZING!
I couldn't believe it! And considering all the top 5 finishes were ahead of the previous world record too!

12. That was just incredible. I'm still giddy about it.
That's what the French swimmers get for bad-mouthing us before the race!

I still can't believe that the world record was so annihilated that the even the Swiss, who placed 5th, broke the record!!! We and the French crushed the record by 4 F-ING SECONDS!!!

Methinks a whole bunch of records will fall in this Olympics. I've heard that the 100-meter Dash is going to be the fastest in history!

God, I love the Olympics!

BTW, who's seen the Chinese men gymnasts? Those guys are so incredible it's SCARY!

14. Yeah, it was really exciting!
I jumped up off the couch in the last 50 meters and was yelling, "go, go!" I was so excited when the results popped up I started dancing around the living room.

Hubby got out of bed and came in to see what was going on!

15. Did Phelps REALLY have to pull his suit down to his pube line?
That's just gross. Did he not know he was on TV, or is he just a flasher?
