Poll question: "Pole" Poll
Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 01:04 AM by SoCalDem
Apparently , many here (and probably elsewhere) think that cheating is inevitable.. Is it?

The poll presumes :

cheater is married or in a committed relationship

Which below is closest to what you believe..(proof not necessary..just your belief)

So how come guys are always the first to fall asleep in a three-way?

The 'genetics' reference was inspired by your thread, btw. And the truth ;-)

(edited for an errant 'm')

i heard it.

fucking crazy. my husband is getting so way more now than he ever got single. most these single guys acting as if they are hot little studs are really just wanting a woman so they can get it. i am not buying this bullshit anymore. their lies and games have just gone tooooo far. probably either really really young, or old farts.

just keep forgetting this making self grand on a keyboard. and probably really angry, resentful or whatever with some woman

3. I think most men never plan on cheating (or women for that matter)
I don't think they go looking for it but when they are presented with a choice (again men and women), some make the wrong decision......

Human frailty and all that jazz...

6. My husband used to travel a lot when he was younger
He would often travel with "older guys" ...(he was late 20's, at the time)...and on many trips, the 40-somethings on the trip could hardly wait to finish dinner, so they could hit the bar.. My husband did not drink, so he usually ended up watching tv and calling home about 9PM..

Did he have an opportunity? yes? did he ever cheat? I doubt it.. If he ever did, I never suspected it or found out..and he has never ever even been caught in a lie in the almost 39 years we have been married..

10. Peter never planned to deny Christ, but it happened.
While there may be some men who are cold-hearted enough to plan infidelity and carry it out, for most who cheat it is likely a matter of the circumstances making it hard to avoid. I would add that men often are not used to being in the role of being the one who is pursued (the man is usually the pursuer), and thus are not as practiced in resisting advances.

14. it is not necessarily premeditated evil or premeditated at all
I'm sure in some cases it is.

But when a fantasy is simply offered to someone or is easily available for the pickings, well.....a lot of people find that just too much to resist.

I doubt that human beings are naturally totally monogamous. That takes concerted effort if the opportunities are constantly available to be otherwise.
