OMG! There are FOUR threads devoted to...
John Edwards or sex/marriage/monogamy on the front page!! How OUTRAGEOUS!! Can't you people let it GO?? Oh wait...you already have...

Do the people who were going crazy yesterday because there were a lot of Edwards' threads feel like idgets today? It burned out its 36 hour course and has fallen by the wayside. If something else is revealed, it will revive a bit. Going the way of most tempests in a teapot and most of the 'big' stories here.

So, the next time you feel obligated to post ONE MORE 'Stop talking about something' thread, remember...we will. And we don't need a hall monitor to make us stop.

if you give it time, it goes away by itself. Everybody that had to spend 36 hours starting threads about having to hide posts about Edwards and whining about everybody talking about Edwards were wasting as much time as the people they were bitching about. It blew up and now it has blown away. And yes, you self righteous hypocrite, this IS the DU I like. It's the DU that allows people to discuss and argue and beat to death the subjects that interest them. Hey, I have a better idea...why don't YOU decide what is Ok for people to discuss. Is that better? Cause apparently, that's the DU YOU want.

The sad and small-minded obsessions of people are just made worse by the sanctimony and self-justification of the raging goody-two-shoes of the world, but you've always been a sane and fun voice here.

What a dreadful campaign this is; the price of it is a distaste for one's fellow humans and a torpor of blase dread for the future.

The clucking of the triumphally virtuous is quite an accompaniment to the swooning of the acolytes, and little of it smacks of any reality that I can discern. Takes a lot of people to clutter up a world, doesn't it?
