Who determines Yahoo's top stories?

Who determines Yahoo's top stories?
I've subscribed to Yahoo's Full Coverage for over ten years because I like the one-stop links to in-depth reports and commentary. But this is the current top ten and I note that the Russia/Georgia war doesn't even make the list:

# 2008 Presidential Election
# Iraq
# U.S. Economy
# Radovan Karadzic
# Zimbabwe
# Climate Change
# Iran
# Myanmar
# China

I'm not lacking for news on this new war, just curious about Yahoo's choices on what is deserving of "full coverage."

Google News isn't any better. They seem to think that Russia attacked Atlanta (Note the map):
