The Russians are doing a regime change on one of his best buddies and no talk (or questions) of using the military option like little boots does with Iran all the time who haven't attacked anybody?

What gives?

1. Nukes
It is stated Russian policy, since Gulf War One, that if the United States were to use precision conventional weapons against Russian troops, they would be forced to respond with tactical nuclear weapons.

2. Pooty is kicking their asses and taking names..
and they know it. I'm sure he informed shrubya that he is now officially irrelevant and Russia, China and Iran are going to do whatever the fuck they please and he's going to like it. Shrubya's response was to go on a week-long bender in China.

3. A military engagement with Russia would be unwise
And for the chickenhawk Republicans, far too risky. Republicans like their "opponents" to be far weaker, trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey if possible, and with no ability to attack or even counterpunch. Engaging Russia militarily would be too much like a fair fight, and no Republican in the last 80 years (at least) has wanted to get involved in one of those.

So the macho, he-man, woman-hating GOP club will whimper about how unfair it all is, they'll pull their bestest, frowniest faces at Russia, and do . . . not a goddam thing. But then we'll get to listen to their media cheerleaders tell us how tough the Republicans are. So it will all work out. Unless you happen to be a civilian in Georgia.
