One of the people I talked to while phonebanking told me I could get "educated"
By watching Bill O'Reilly. He wasn't being sarcastic. He was trying to get me to "understand" why Democrats are bad for the country. This is what we're dealing with, folks. Sometimes, it takes everything I have to say "Thank you for your time, sir".

2. I know, my hairdresser is one of those.
He told me he couldn't trust Obama because he's not patriotic enough and he named three republican talking points. It made me realize how easily swayed people are.

10. Ooh, listening to that stuff while getting a haircut would kill me.
Luckily, the woman who cuts my hair is even more radically liberal than I am...

3. You did good
I'm so put off by people who think your caller is "evil." If someone thinks differently from you, well, that's what America is about, and I say "Good for you!" for behaving properly and with dignity.

4. I've had neighbors tell me that Hannity is so smart, and
just middle of the road - that you can really learn from him, and that he's not partisan.

After I stopped choking, I decided to move the conversation into a different area..

Then there was the radio caller around here who attempted to say that Jerome Corsi was non-partisan, not a Democrat or Republican, and so people should read his book to learn the truth...

8. Yes, the loofah tips are instructive.
If by instructive, you really mean downright creepy.

There's also the ability to quote non-existant publications.

Etc.

Etc.

Instead of getting into it with him, I decided to err on the side of a cordial workplace environment, so I changed the subject.

13. I had a book with me at the hairdresser
She asked me what I was reading and I said it was a biography of "Clarence Thomas, the Supreme Court Justice". She said, "Never heard of him." End of conversation.
