Warning about March 17th
All those that are going. Rolling blunder is going to try to push you into acting out. They want to blame you for anything that happens by the Wall. Turn this around on them Video them. Veterans Groups will be by the wall to hold the line against the. Just be careful the right is looking to hurt the protest.

26. From the link;
"In order to ensure that the Wall and other Memorials in the general area are not defaced, like what happened at the anti-war demonstration at the U.S. Capitol on January 27th. I am requesting that as many Rolling Thunder, Inc. chapters, members and supporters that can make it, meet at the Wall no later than 8:00 AM on the 17th. We do not want, nor will we tolerate a repeat of what happened at the U.S. Capitol."

-What the heck are they talking about?

Which anti-war demonstrators 'defaced' anything?

15. Yes I deny
Look at the so-called Marine who claimed they spit on him too. It turned out to be a huge lie by the right. I don't care if rolling blunder is there its their right. But it is our right to protect the protesters from lies

23. There was no defacing and no soldiers got spit on either
I was there too. There were so many cops on the capitol steps there was no way anyone could have even made a teeny crayon mark on the capitol.

24. This confusing of "Capitol step", a political site if there ever was one,
and the Memorial Wall, is as clueless as one can be. In any event, the REAL spitting on the flag, has been taking place at Walter Reed, for the past few years. Don't you follow the news?

14. It did not happen in the last protest
Edited on Fri Mar-09-07 05:14 PM by Monkeyman
Muller is a hard core backer of Bush. He is also a Media hug. Just film them let the vets handle this. No one will deface the wall. VFP , Veterans For America have told them we will make sure of that. But Like I said Muller wants to blame the protesters for anything.

19. There are members who are vehemently anti administration war (I
was going to say policy but there is none). It sounds as if this is one man's crusade...based on his lies about the last protest. Good luck Bub.

16. What...All 14 of them?
Those types like to talk big before protests.

But they are like a mouse trying to use his puny stream of piss to stop the tide.

Massive egos aside...it ain't happening.

Someone needs to repost the famous "pro-war" potty brigade photo.

These types are a joke.

Period.

18. 500? Doubtful.
But even if they DID manage those numbers somehow...which has never happened at a protest yet...even when * had astronomical approval numbers.

They'd still be outnumbered by about a thousand to one.

29. Thanks for the heads-up.
I was in DC for the September 2005 protest. With me were several friends, one of which was a Vietnam veteran who was participating in his first demonstration, and so after the march we all went together to see the Vietnam Memorial.

The Rollers were stationed on either end of the Wall, and they would not let my vet friend past with the sign he had been carrying all day.

The self-appointed wall bouncer on our side told my friend to put down his protest sign or he couldn't approach the memorial - that the wall was not political and that he couldn't bring a political sign near it. If I remember correctly, my friend's sign read, "Troops Home Now". Political, huh.

The w.b. was very confrontational and in-your-face, spoiling for a fight. I was mad enough that I could've taken him down myself at that point (I'm pretty sure) but decided it wasn't worth it.

I can see how easy it would be to let them goad someone into doing something foolish, so I'll pass your message on to my fellow bus riders. It's a 21 hour ride to DC from here, so I'm sure we'll get around to discussing it!

-M
