The Nation: Hannity Freaks on McCain-Edwards Sex Link
Hannity Freaks on McCain-Edwards Sex Link
posted by Ari Melber on 08/13/2008 @ 10:00pm

Hannity lost control of himself and his show on Tuesday night, after co-host Alan Colmes compared John Edwards' infidelity to John McCain's affair. Usually, the two hosts of "Hannity & Colmes" take turns questioning guests and carefully avoid debating each other, but Hannity made a rare departure to repeatedly yell that McCain's affair was somehow acceptable because it occurred after he was tortured for five and a half years in Vietnam. This clip does not take off until about 2:55, but then it gets feisty and weird in a hurry:

So....of course they are vulnerable to all illicit behavior.

3. Hannity knows how bad McThuselah's womanizing looks and is
Fortunately, our media bulldogs are so solicitous of McCain's widdle feelings that they spare the first Mrs. McCain the inconvenience of, you know, asking her how she felt about being traded in on a newer model.

6. "5-1/2 years! 5-1/2 years!"
Hannity got punked...I thought he was going to start crying. And in classic loser fashion, he can't let go after the commercial break. :D

10. Not dimminishing the horrors he must have experienced
but if it affected his psyche to such a degree as Hannity suggests then perhaps he simply isn't fit for the presidency. Everyone knows about his terrible temper that he often fails to keep under control. I think behind that temper might be a psyche aching for some "payback." Not exactly the kind of mind that should be given the keys to our military.

20. He's still crying about it yesterday
On another segment about Edwards the issue was brought up by one of the guests and Klannity goes berserk, blabbing on and on about
'context, texture' and 'he was tortured for 5 years' 'it was 30 years ago' blah blah blah.
It's over at the Political videos section if anyone wants to see it.

How thick is that guy's skull? Why does he keep going there when he knows (or should know) where it'll lead. What a dumbass.

where the Republican idiots can't even gurgle up one lie.

You have to hand it to Alan Colmes. He nails them to the wall.

All she did was learn to walk again, underwent countless surgeries all while raising their three children by herself. I guess he forgot about his 'for better or worse' oasth.

Semper Infidelis, John.

Please keep bringing it up, Sean. We need this front and center heading into the conventions.

15. Jeez, has Colmes finally grown a spine?
I watched that show occasionally years ago, but couldn't take Colmes subservient role. He finally must have snapped. Good for him. Made Hannity look like even more of a complete idiot than usual - which is quite an accomplishment.

19. I think everyone should jusy move along on this topic
Look, the guy got busted, and he obviously continues to lie. His career is over.

Let's face it, anything McCain did 30 years ago isn't going to stick to him because
he's old. People look at Edwards and think, wow, that guy got some, and is lying
about it.

People look at McCain and think, EWWWW, that old guy got some? Yuck.

The other reason this won't stick to McCain is this: he didn't say anything about
Edwards, he's not running against Edwards, and he's not worried about Edwards.

Hannity is a joke, though. He actually thinks being a POW absolves you of any wrongdoing
before AND after. That's stunningly idiotic, and is exactly why McCain shouldn't be President:
he needs too many apologists to point to his war record.

Not that I don't think Edwards deserves such a punishment...

Edited on Thu Aug-14-08 02:30 PM by calipendence
I also wouldn't mind someone asking Hannity what he feels about Bob Barr too, who's also had an affair and left his wife one Thanksgiving holiday when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Perhaps one big difference between McCain and Barr to Edwards.

Edwards has STUCK WITH his marriage to Elizabeth. McCain and Barr, after being adulterers, DITCHED their wives for the "new meat"...
