You say you want a revolution Well, you know We all want to change the world You tell me that it's evolution Well, you know We all want to change the world But when you talk about destruction Don't you know that you can count me out
---You can count me out of any destruction too John Lennon my brother, but revolutions don't have to be bloody or even violent, there have been many bloodless revolutions in human history. All things evolve, even America, the whole world and all it's peoples are all evolving, when people are oppressed, they evolve into free people, sometimes through revolution, like in 1776.
You say you got a real solution Well, you know We'd all love to see the plan You ask me for a contribution Well, you know We're doing what we can But when you want money for people with minds that hate All I can tell is brother you have to wait
----People often ask me to show them the plan for improving our current plight, hell, it ain't my job to come up with a plan and show it to you, my plan is for America to have another revolution, we deserve it, we need it, it's long overdue. And dearly beloved Beatle John, I don't contribute money to people with minds that hate, except through the taxes that I pay, and that we all pay. John, you may have been referring to the radical leftist crazies from the sixties who quickly went extinct or surrendered to the dark side, our immediate problem is with our own president and his Nazi crew, something you couldn't have imagined in your wildest imaginings.
You say you'll change the constitution Well, you know We all want to change your head You tell me it's the institution Well, you know You better free you mind instead But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
----I don't want to change the constitution John my brother, I simply want to adhere to it, and follow it's orders, which are to revolt against tyranny and oppression, and as for chairman Mao, his name is stamped on the bottom of every thing I own, and America owes his ghost 10 trillion bucks or so, and he's grinning at us even now from the Olympics in Beijing, and he ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow anyway.
I know these words were written for a song a very long time ago, in a different era of revolution and rock and roll and street fighting, and a lot of water has passed under the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, but we need a revolution now, a real one, we need a Revolution #2, and Revolution #2 begins with me, and you.
I love you John Lennon, and I know this one way dialog with a ghost is silly in the extreme, but revolution has been given a bad name somehow, even though this nation was born of revolution. It's as if the very word is somehow an obscenity in daily conversation, those who utter it are scorned and looked down upon and are even called crazy and unpatriotic.
What the hell can you say about a nation that lets monsters like bush and cheney do what they have done, and get away with what they've gotten away with, AND JUST LETS IT HAPPEN as if it were all perfectly normal?
