Looks like the bus went under the flag. What you see on the left side of the bus is definately a reflection.

4. If the bus had clearance under the flag, it wasn't much.

It looks to me like the top of the bus grazed the bottom of the flag as the bus drove underneath. If it had clearance, it must have only been an inch or two. Not a risk I'd take driving under something, that's for sure!

3. The Repubs continue to mistake symbolism for substance

I don't give a flying fuck how big a flag is, how many flags are standing in the background during speeches, or whether there's a little metal one on someone's lapel. If you don't RESPECT what it stands for, flag or no flag, the disrespect shows. And the Repubs do NOT respect it. Like everything else they get their grasping hands on, they've twisted and abused it the same way televangelists twist and abuse religion. It's a fucking costume to them, the Stars & Stripes. Look how many of them actually make CLOTHING out of it. Like that's supposed to impress anyone who really understands the history and meaning of the flag and how it's supposed to be treated.

The photo above is actually one of the less offensive illustrations of what the Repubs think of the flag. DECORATION. I ask you, does anyone doubt what country we live in and what our flag looks like? Then why do the Repubs have this insane need to shove it in everyone's face? It proves nothing except how superficial they are.

You don't have to live in a church to be religious.
