I just finished watching "SICKO" for the 2nd time today

I am still in shock.I cannot believe what that scum bushco has done to the health care system in this country.We rank 37 on the list of good medical care.Cuba has great medical service,all free,France,All free,Canada and Great Britain all free.We are worse off than a lot of 3rd world countrys.
I dare anyone to watch this DVD and not be so enraged they want to take out bushco.I was in tears thru half of it ,What they did to the people that have very bad health problems from 9/11 is criminal.The prescription plan was for the drug companies benefits.What happened to the once great USA?????

He hasn't helped the system, and has harmed it, but the system itself has been in place for 30+ years, well before Bush. Blame Nixon for this atrocity, the difference is that now, the gaps in coverage and the cracks in the foundation of this farce of a health care system are becoming more obvious. Bush has accelerated this atrocity, but he didn't start it.

Granted, over the past 40 years or so, the Republicans held most of the power, but the Democrats had 12 years or so to fix it, and while some gaps may have closed in that time, new gaps opened, and the cracking became worse, regardless as to who was in power.

We can blame the for profit health care industry, meaning the insurance companies, the HMOs the PHRMA industry and even doctors and other practitioners who were to slow to realize that the free market system they thought was best for their profitable practices would turn out to be the worst for them when it came to business and in helping them to care for patients.

I'm already way too angry. The Universe can't hold all the rage I feel for Bushco. All they care about is profiting off of the sick and the elderly. I don't think even hell wants those heartless bastards.

Which brings me to my next point, Barack's healthcare plan.

It is a step forward, but its like moving your right foot 1 inch ahead of your left foot.

This plan will keep the insurance companies in place. It will actually be a friggin' economic boon to the insurance companies. He is going to guarantee government subsidy to provide healthcare to roughly 1/6th of the US population. 50 million people without healthcare, immediately available for government subsidy. Instead of annihilating the insurance companies, he is going to give them a big fat socialized welfare check. To be quite sure, I am all for socialized medicine, except when it makes a detour to deposit great sums of money in the insurance companies bank accounts.

I like Barack a lot, and I will be voting for him. However. My ideal candidate would be the destroyer of worlds, reigning destruction on the insurance companies and the military industrial complex, so that we can better use our taxpayer dollars for the actual citizens of the USA, instead of corporate assholes.

This country has been looted. I don't see Barack changing the status quo.
