As horrible as CNN is in the AM
as stilted, as prejudiced, as virulently pro-Republican as they are...let me just say that I'm not nauseated as I am when I watched that Joe/Mika combination on MSNBC. That show was viscerally upsetting me and I don't think I'm going back to them after the Olympics.

3. I've been trying to quit Morning Joe, but sometimes I can't help myself and I turn it on
It always pisses me off and makes me feel really demoralized. It's been a relief not having it on!

and I can't say that I've missed David "Concern Troll" Gregory either.

4. I kicked my cable nooze dependency back in March.
It feels great! No more asinine commentary. No more crummy commercials. No more unnecessary aggravation. I stay tuned in through the Internet or radio. :-)

5. I don't watch anything in the morning anymore......
WAY TO MANY COMMERCIALS!!! I'm on the computer for my morning news, e-mail and weather. I just can not deal with all the advertising on tv now. :puke:

12. Gave my TV away several years before that.
Everything I hear about cable TV makes me wonder why anybody bothers.

D.U., Common Cause e-mails, Progress Report, New York Times headlines e-mail and Asia Times available online -- who needs a TV.

I've never seen a Seinfeld episode, but for some strange reason, I feel no stupider for a' that.

8. Morning TV Is A Waste
Well...all teevee is, but I still get a chuckle out of watching Washington Journal...find out what the GOOP talking points of the day are and enjoy hearing the Democrats who are able to get through to beat up on C-SPIN's usual shilling for the AEI and other GOOP "think tanks".

Then at 8am, I pop on Stephanie Miller...and scan my favorite blogs. Chicken Noodle Nuze and GEM$NBC gets only scant notice until late in the day.

The great thing about the web is you have sites like Newshounds who monitor the propaganda on Faux "so we don't have to" and there are always people posting here with the latest "breaking news" or outrage worth seeing (usually found in the DU Video Forum).

We now hold the power to program the teevee, not the other way around.

Cheers...

9. While I despise Clear Channel Radio, I agree to some extent with the CEO's remark when he was
asked "What is content?" and he answered " That's the shit you run between commercials".
