I'm curious about Nathaniel C. Wall, mentioned in the gray sticky above...
What war did he fight in (assuming he did die in battle) that he would have expired in 1838?
The only two American skirmishes I can find (assuming he is American) that come close to that date are the Texas revolution (1835-1836) and the Aroostook war (1838-1839, but no Americans died in combat.)
