News flash for Jindal, if another storm hits Louisiana, America won't care anymore than they did when Katrina hit.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness activated its Crisis Action Team Friday afternoon to monitor Tropical Storm Fay.

2. Actually he got a much more effective response . . .
post-Katrina than Louisiana got. FEMA still screwed the pooch in Mississippi, but at least they let the poor dog go before they fucked it to death.

5. I Talked To A NOLA Friend Not Long Ago...
A person I had a chance to visit last March...he took me on a private tour of the "real" Katrina damage inside not just the Ninth Ward, but over into St. Bernard. He lost his apartment in the flooding but was able to move back in about a year ago...at three times the rent he previously paid, but at least he's got a place.

He told me he fears another Cat 3 or worse hurricane. The recent reports of poor levee walls and the problems of the Shipping Canal haven't been properly addressed. His biggest fear is having both Jindal and Nagin at the helm...he says he won't hesitate to get out of town if a storm comes anywhere near...and fears another disaster is in the making.

6. This will just be the GOP's chance to put on a show ...
...so they can claim to have "redeemed" themselves for Katrina.

Just an FYI, here is a picture of water seeping from under the 17th Street Canal levee, New Orelans, Louisiana, 20 May, 2008.
