3. I don't think a lifetime of fasting would be nearly enough to
magically instill "holiness" in George W. Bush.

20. No, they are trying to make up for the Calories that Michael Phelps
uses. Rush criticized him for eating so much, so they decided to balance things out.

13. The premise: Not eating for a day will persuade God to dial back on GWB's Evilness setting?
Now I'm even more impressed with the amount of havoc Bush was able to wreak considering he was operating under this unseen handicap.

during this Presidency,
and may there be
thousands fasting daily.

21. The phrase "Beating a dead horse" comes directly
to mind if they think fasting is going to make "His Assholiness" any holier. Chumps comes to mind as well.

as Bush giving up golf ( I think it was golf - although it might have been fritos) for the troops and the rest of us going shopping at Wallmarts to defeat Al Qaida.

23. Paraphrasing Ted Turner's comments on the Heavens Gate mass suicides in 1997...
In a world that's already infested with loons, idiots, religiously insane fundies of all religions... why would I be disturbed that there will be 1,877 fewer of them in just a few short weeks?

Heavens Gate had their own brand of ideological madness; something about a spaceship hidden in a comet's tail that they would all catch a ride with once they had rid themselves of their earthly bodies. OK... That's pretty solid evidence of lunacy at work.

Then we have nearly 2,000 well-intentioned but nonetheless crazed religious types who are so desperate to pull the little vermin emperor back from the precipice that they're willing to starve themselves to bring it about.

What starvation has to do with the czar's private recreational activities I have no idea, but then again it's pretty tough to psyche out the motives of the deranged.

I eagerly await news and updates.

24. Christians crack me up, So not eating makes Bush stronger?
I mean it, the whole thought of fasting for someone you do not even know, and could give to shits about you is funny to say the least. I have fasted before, for health and to remind myself what hunger feels like so I am thankful of all I have, but never for a VERY RICH and VERY POWERFUL (and very stupid) person. Trust me if he really gave a shit about the Christian god, he would walk away, because Jesus does not care for liars, killer, the rich, the unworthy and the ungrateful...

I am off to Fast for Bill Gates, I am sure he will care...
