Dear Friends of Sacred Art,
I need to apologize about my last email. I completely forgot to include regards to my Republican friends about how I respect their opinion and that my fund raising is not to be construed as the views of all artists in the shop. Only the artists that will be participating in a small section of the shop have agreed to show their support for Obama.
I have received an email from a valued customer who vehemently disagrees with my choice and may not come back to my shop. Which makes me sad. If you know me at all, upsetting one person is one person too many. I naively thought that trying to raise my candidate up rather than bash the other would be commendable.
Politics can be volatile, I get it. Please know that my intentions are not to piss anyone off but to stop talking and start doing something about what I believe in. I encourage everyone to do the same. That is what this country and the Democratic process is about and encourages us to do. Maybe we can even do it without trying to knock each other down along the way. If we all agreed on everything, how boring life would be! Not too mention art!
With love and respect to ALL of you, Sarah Chazin Owner of Sacred Art
My response: I just want you to know that you are perfectly justified in NOT responding to the mewing and crying of your Republican "friends". This country has had a foot stoppin', hard headed, group of socio-pathic poster boys of war, greed and torture running aroung the world and stirring up trouble. All of the countries bigots and racists and homophobes have crawled out of their holes and they won't go back in without "kickin'some ass" on their way. There will be fussing and complaining and spewing hate and ignorance as they go. There will be no pleasing these desperate and fast fading group of nodding flag waving cows. The creative urge will never be able to be dimmed. The power of community and the compassion for all living beings is what we can offer each other. I wanted Kucinich! I wanted hope! I want my children to grow up and be kind, caring humans, not fodder fror a war based on lies.
