I just have to share this one. I've had the pleasure of meeting Alaska Ed on several occasions, a true-blue Alaska patriot - 80+ years young. Please read his first post on DU -- it's a good one. :)

He announced in his speech last night that he would be going to Alaska in two weeks.

I think John Dean was here to speak at our convention or something, but I was working too much to attend, and the last time Howard showed up, it cost too much for me to get in.

He usually has a small donor rally as well if there is time. He did not say just that he would be there in two weeks.

Third generation Alaskan here.

Alaska Ed hit the nail on the head on so many levels, especially about Alaskans not liking outsiders messing around. It has been interesting to see the dynamics unfold up here as the republican machine breaks apart.

I will support Diane for sure! I got a call from Begich's office tonight and I am going to make calls for him this week. It's kind of like a dream that Stevens has fallen so hard.

We can potentially put Obama over the top here too. There are so many Ron Paulites/Barr types leeching votes from McCain!! Poor guy came in last in the puke primary didn't he?
