John McCain joins other Repubs in wanting to keep Family Values out of race
Gee, I wonder why?

McCain: Get Gossip Out Of White House Race
Presidential Hopeful Wants Campaign To Be Based On "Past Record," Not "Family Issues"

(AP) Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who remarried one month after his 1980 divorce, said Friday that the personal lives of White House hopefuls shouldn't become an issue in the 2008 campaign.

“I would like to see this campaign conducted on past record and ambition for the future,” McCain told reporters after a fundraising luncheon in Charlotte, N.C. “I would hope that gossip — or, quote, 'family issues' — would not enter into this campaign.”

McCain's call to keep personal lives private came the same week that chief rival Rudy Giuliani asked for privacy as he deals with strained relationships within his family, including estrangement from his children.

The Arizona senator's remarks also came as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a potential candidate for the GOP nomination, admitted to having an affair at the same time he was leading the effort to impeach President Clinton for allegations of perjury connected with the president's affair with Monica Lewinsky.

5. Exactly
I'm beginning to think that maybe John McCain is some kind of paragon of virtue since he's only had one divorce caused by his adultery.

6. And then you have Hagel!
I've been warning everyone for a long time, he's the real threat. He'll appeal to those on the fence about Iraq and the ME. Yet he's socially conservative enough to appeal to the christian fundamentalists.

8. Wonder how Gary Hart feels about that?
If the Repukes hadn't derailed his campaign, this country might be a benevolent entity in the world instead of a bully. They can't have it both ways!

Little doubt they would want to flip-flop on that issue since there have been so many pedophiles, philanderers, liars & thieves come to light in their party lately.

10. Typically republican, beyond belief.
Hypocrisy about hypocrisy. Since all the puke front runners are demonstrably vile, self serving criminals, disgustingly puerile when it suits them, the contests must not be allowed to include any mention of such ugliness.

I would like to point out that, at the time of Bill Clinton's personal treachery in his own familial relationship, the official, government sponsored definition of sex specifically excluded oral sex as a "sex act." Thus, no matter what opinion one has about the appeal of such an activity, he told the truth when he declared, "I did not have sex with that woman."

I have no real issue with the exchanging of partners when a relationship proves untenable, however, I would like to point out than both Senator and President Clinton are (still) married to the same partner they started with. TAKE THAT! Lush Rumpball!

12. If McCain is so perturbed by media attention
to family matters, why was he so quick to forgive BushCo for ravaging his own family in SC?

13. AFter the last fifteen years of swiftboating and lying about Hillary
they want to stop. After the smearing and slurring of John Edwards and Obama. Why. Oh I know because the democrats are talking about the absolute lack of family values the current bunch of republican presidental hopefuls have.

Odd, isn't it? Democrats' "personal history" seems the be a the tippy top of the list , but serial-marriers, multi-adulterers want THEIR lives put off limits?

How 'bout this?

We'll lay off your scummy past in exchange for these words being off limits:

God
Jesus
Faith
Family
Marriage
Compassionate
Abortion
Guns
Gay
Homosexual

Gee what's left, guys?

Maybe some issues like health care..the war.. social security..medicare...

hmmmm.might not be such a bad idea :)

21. too freaking bad......
the GOP are the worst Hypercritical SOBS this country has ever seen........did they leave Clinton alone?....will they leave Hillary alone?.......NO........
They even tries to run with the banner that Kerry was having an affair

"""Without citing any sources, in a May 1 WorldNetDaily "Exclusive Commentary," author Bob Kohn claimed that "evidence suggests" Senator John Kerry is having an affair with a New York Times reporter. """""

and Kerry's' personal life with Threasa...............

the money ........Ann Coulter
is 1 example

For over 30 years, Kerry's primary occupation has been stalking lonely heiresses. Not to get back to his combat experience, but Kerry sees a room full of wealthy widows as "a target-rich environment." This is a guy whose experience dealing with tax problems is based on spending his entire adult life being supported by rich women. What does a kept man know about taxes?

and we must not forget the Swift Boaters who doubted Kerry service record......

No....We will dig and dig deep into the lives of the GOP........for they go to evil extremes to find "Dirt" on all Democratic candidates......................nothing should be "off Limits"
