There are to be no more segments covering these events that do not have a tieback to the US economy. I am getting tired of reminding you that the US economy is "issue number 1" at CNN. We have had to drop ad rates yet again and these distractions from our, that is the country's number one issue, does not help. Remember the bulk of the American people are selfish and only care about themselves. The US economy as the only issue to care about is an easy sell to them. They do not care about dead foreigners, that means less to them than a dead dog. Get this garbage off the air and get back to issue number one, always remember our ad rates. I do not want to have to remind you of this again.

...that CNN's crack team of investigative reporters are on permanent Paris/Britany assignment and have no time for trivial nonsense like nuclear confrontations, imperialist empire disasters, election theft 2008 or even the US' rapid degeneration from a quasi-free society to a fascist national security state.

Leave that elitist crap to the international press. CNN knows how to pander to its target audience of hopeless dumbshits. Numerous polls show that don't want to hear any of this complex anti-American horseshit because it makes their brains hurt after just a couple of minutes. Can't have them changing to Fux before the next commercial break.

So these veteran reporters stay glued to their scanners and cell phones, pestering their sources for any news of screw-ups by our pop culture icons until their contacts just stop answering their calls.

And on the rare days when neither Paris nor Britany fucks up badly enough to get busted, shaves her head or pubes on live webcam, or has another screaming emotional crisis in front of hundreds of mall rats, some of these co-opted scribes stalk some lesser known but equally fuck up prone d-list celeb.

More likely, they drink heavily while facing the bleak irrelevance that defines their lives these days and mourning the long-lost idealism that made a career in journalism so attractive way back when.

Now that I could believe, probably because there's a fair amount of truth in it.
