Cindy McCain being dispatched to Georgia should scare everyone...
This is an indication that McCain would inject an unqualified family member into a volatile foreign policy situation on his behalf.

Nothing she does is going to raise her qualifications for such a mission, and pretending she is acting with intelligence and authority on behalf of the McCain team does not change anything.

What would McCain do if he were President?

THis should be a cold shudder down the spine of every American.

8. She's meeting with wounded Georgian troops--why? It's baffling to me.
They are WAYY overstepping their bounds. She's not an ambassador, a dignitary, an elected official--she's the wife of a Senator. That's it. Another nation's army isn't in the realm of "humanitarian work".

10. It's because he's desperate, I mean desperate, to project a more youthful image
And when I say desperate, I mean that his level of desperation makes a giant squid trapped in the jaws of a sperm whale seem calm, cool and collected.

That's just my theory on why she is in nearly *every* camera shot of him.

I have been yapping about this all day! SHE IS GOING TO ASSESS CIVILIAN CASUALTIES. What? How is she qualified for that? In my estimation this could turn out to be a huge mistake on their part.

I would think she is underqualified for this mission, but maybe it's just me.

18. Expect a video of a compassionate/activist, Cindy at the Pub Convention
Cindy will be portrayed as a Princess Diane who travels the world, reaching out to the less fortunate. I am sure that Dick Cheney.....her traveling partner, will not be in the video.

The Republican Convention, should be full of good campaign fodder, for the Dems.

Maybe McP.O.W. is considering her for his Secretary of State.

31. Well State would be covering her security, meals and accommodation. If she adopts a Georgian baby
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 04:23 AM by gbrooks
I'm pretty sure she has to pay the adoption fees
herself unless the baby is Romanian. In that case
the adoption is fees are waived in lue of a percentage
of book royalties.

32. Repubs have their work cut out for them to elevate Cindy McCain's credentials for public work...
So far she has not been asked the tough questions, but if she puts herself 'out there' as a part of the McCain team who will occupy the White House, then those questions are not only appropriate but necessary.

This will not work out the way John McCain planned...
