A POST-DNC Prayer.

"Dear Lord, I have rarely been so infuriated in all of my life, and it insults and disheartens me to no end to hear a miasma of utterly meaningless bombastic eyewash from an ultra-privileged elite about the Hope and Change that will come from higher taxes and the dissolution of the entreprenerial class. Why don't more of your American children see what has made America great? I cannot personally abide a candidate who sells out just about everything I believe in - our inalienable constitutional rights, our ability to make industry, to save money for our progeny, to hold our civic leaders and educators accountable for their actions - to sell these ideals out in an Orwello-Huxlean mess of emotional, somatose doublespeak. Did you not give us these warnings, in the Bible, in literature, in the history of our own country? Please forgive me for my inability to understand my neighbors but I HAVE HAD IT with the loony left! May you, dear G-d, bless these United States, may you bless her allies and Israel, and will you please watch over our collective folly. PLEASE, Lord, let this be a not-too-painful lesson for us. PLEASE, Lord, know that we have had so many painful lessons from you. PLEASE, Lord, let us understand in our hearts what you instiled in the heart of Abraham: that the strength and compassion of the individual is your gift, and that the protection of the rights and industry of that individual is the solemn duty of your minions on this earth. PLEASE, Lord, rush us through this "race" mess to an era in which all men are truly deemed equal in each other's eyes, and no man may use race as a portal to collectiist criminality. Amen.(sic)"

Never have I seen such a spectacle of hate, resentment and illiteracy. This person is a stranger to New Testament and the English language. He thinks God exists to serve him rather than the other way around. He lacks all the so called Christian virtues, compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, peace and grace. What a broiling distempered diatribe this is.

I have not provided a link since it would be pointless.

1. Ok it's a depressing post. But I'm depressed. I'm also Canadian so that makes me more depressed.

2. The grotesque phrase "Orwello-Huxlean" pretty much tells me everything I need to know.
To wit, this child couldn't put down his bong or his bible long enough to finish either "1984" or "Brave New World" in his freshman English class, and has felt inadequate every since. Which would be about 6 weeks.

5. I know the juxtaposition of Orwell and Huxley. As if a Trotskyite and a Theosophist had anything in

common.

It makes the head hurt and the heart despair.

3. bizarre.
"ultra-privileged elite" How do Freepers watch the Democratic convention
and come up with that?

I suppose next we will twist the words of Jesus to mean....

feeding and helping the poor is evil.

The richest of men are the meek,
and they need to inherit the earth tax free.

etc etc etc...

:puke:

4. Freepers do not live in the real world
If their inability/unwillingness to see how morally bankrupt they and their leaders are wasn't such a threat to every rational being who just wants to live their life in peace, I'd pity them. As it is, they and the twisted nightmare they've enabled horrify me.

The bible warns against becoming a sycophant for precisely the reason on display in that "prayer"; when you close your heart and mind to anyone who doesn't believe as you do, you fall victim to the siren's song of false prophets who love nothing better than to tell you who to hate and fear.

These are the same dim bulbs who brought us the Inquisition and witch hunts. It's only amazing that after so many centuries they still haven't figured out how unGodly they are.

6. ohh Its not so bad
Some where in there is some shred of decency. This person talks of accountability from the "elite" or those who have "power". It seems this person would like some hope and change as long as the change doesn't come out of their pocket.

This person is just ignorant and full of themselves. However, I do not detect hatred. Just some lost person feeling powerless and looking for someone to blame.

Empower this person and we may have an ally. Not on every issue. But some. :smoke:

7. Well I would like to err on the side of compassion but why should I go first.

This person claims to be a Christian. It is up
to them to show some humility before they preach
to others.

This person is a classic passive/authoritarian
type who hates freedom and worships class division
and the believes their betters deserve their privileges.

As a said on a previous thread, "There is no love greater
than a slave for his master."

10. Empower this person?
I'd prefer we start empowering sane, rational people who know the difference between belief and fact and keep each in their proper place. People like the author of this "prayer" are a small minority who need to be shoved back to the margins so those who like to empower them can do nothing more than scam money off them, not reward them with fabricated end of days miseries we ALL have to suffer.

and is horrified at the notion that some of that money will now go to those who really need it.

13. Wonder if this person's prayer includes any one outside of the United States? Does killing a couple
of hundred thousand 'non-Christians' make their god happy? Why does he ask for blessings upon just the USA and its 'allies'? Does that include all those Muslims in Pakistan? Do Iraqis have the same 'rights' as individuals and does his god 'protect' those rights from the USA?

14. "... to hold our civic leaders and educators accountable for their actions ..."
Oh, please!!! REALLY!!!

These repuke dickwads haven't held anyone accountable {unless it's a (wait for it) DemocRAT} since Nixon. And only a precious few of them held Nixon accountable.

They are quite simply ... nuckin' futs.

15. That's a prayer?
When you start spouting phrases like "Orwello-Huxlean", "somatose doublespeak" or "miasma of utterly meaningless bombastic eyewash", I rather DOUBT that The Almighty is the intended recipient of this oddity.

And where in the Bible did Abraham say anything about "the protection of the rights and industry of (the) individual"?

This sounds more like the Gospel of Ayn Rand.

16. How is it that I'm an atheist and I can see how this guy doesn't understand his own religion?
This is someone who just can't bring himself to grasp what his religion requires of him, so he tries to rewrite it according to what he thinks it should be.

And bet'cha he's one of the first stomethrowers when it comes to calling atheists "arrogant".
