"There may be parts of the speech that aren't going to get a lot of applause, but I've got to say what I believe will get our country back on the right path," Warner — who was neutral in the party primaries — told reporters on Monday.

Democratic strategist Paul Begala took issue with Warner's comments, suggesting that more partisanship, not less, was needed at the party convention. "This isn't the Richmond Chamber of Commerce," Begala said Tuesday.

On Monday, James Carville told CNN: "If this party has a message, it's done a hell of a job hiding it tonight, I promise you that."

Both Begala and Carville were top strategists behind Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential bid.

Party chief Howard Dean dismissed such criticism.

1. Our party needs to stop listening to Begala and Carville
Under their leadership, Bill Clinton NEVER won a majority of votes in his two Presidential elections.

If Perot hadnt run, Bill probably would have lost by listening to them.

2. They're hasbeens,
working desperately to maintain what they think are their rightful perches as some sort of "experts" from a long time ago.

They're just crapping themselves because they'll have absolutely NO traction with an Obama administration, and watching those fat lobbyist dollars dry up is scaring the hell out of them.

Say goodbye, boys. You are now officially outdated and irrelevant. You have passed your "sell by" date.

3. Begala simply dismissed the speech by former Sen. leach as
of no consequence. I disagree. He is a Republican in good standing who had the courage to step up and support the person that the thought was best qualified to lead America in the right direction.
And, he is no wild eyed turncoat like Zell Miller.
