33. Not me.
Completely unmoved. There is NO common ground on equal rights for all, for one thing. You cannot negotiate on that. So that sort of pissed me off.

39. agreed
but Until we deal with the psychopathy problem in government and church military and corporations, there will be no equality, and you cannot reason with psychopaths so there will bo no common ground.

But there can be attempts to move closer to equality.Obama is not another bush clone. He knows why imperialism is sick.

But for instamnce Barack never mentioned.the "P" word...poverty.Every politician,it's middle class this and middle class that.
I found it strange as Obama describes the working poor as in the waitress living on tips etc. as "middle class".

It's like poverty is Americas dirty not so little secret. Can't offend the Richie's with the truth can we?
That pandering to wealth gets on my nerves. But as long as there is a psychopath leisure class plundering us daily we will not ever see anything close to equality here. This class war has gone on too long to be avoided I think...I think it is time America and the Dem politicians spoke up about it. I wish Barack would.

That would be a change to get REALLY excited about.

Edited on Thu Aug-28-08 10:33 PM by undergroundpanther
but I'm a tough one to make cry anyway. His speech was very well done, the fact it did get me misty at times, because I could SO relate to what he was saying like he sees the injustices of the past 8 years..the injustices always ignored or kept in place after the election is over... He notices this injustice that has gone on too long,he was not born with that silver spoon additude..says to me he has my vote..

37. what you said ,Annces
That is what got me misty.

The thought of seeing the good, the kind, the generous and caring people wrenching the government of this country away from the controlling death grip of a few small,heartless,out-of-touch, greedy, selfish, vain, evil, too rich, morally bankrupt, bad people.

That kind of change and justice would make any human being with a soul inside get misty.

Note the republicans are either talking shit about Obama trying to save face, or self pitying at this moment. The republicans behave like all bullies do when they get caught being themselves in public with no one else to blame and no one offering them any excuses.
