Connecticut Dems demand punishment for Lieberman
Retribution sought for Lieberman
By Alexander Bolton

DENVER — Connecticut delegates are demanding that party leaders punish Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democrat-turned-Independent, because of his support of Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), the Republican nominee.

For many of them, Lieberman’s plan to speak at next week’s Republican convention in St. Paul, Minn., is the latest offense from the man who represented their state as a Democrat in Washington for 18 years.

“There has to be some kind of penalty for this sort of thing,” said Martha Aasen, a delegate from Westport, Conn.

“He’s a traitor to his party,” said Jennifer Just, a delegate from Woodbridge.

4. Since 2000, he has barely spent time in the state
save when he lost to Ned Lamont in 2006.

In 2000, he was running for VP, in 2004 he had his laughable run for president, and this year he has been John McCain's top surrogate.

3. Let me turn to the Leiberman page in my grudge book.
Oh, look, it's actually several pages.

How about when he accused Ned Lamont of hacking his website on the eve of the primary election? A charge that turned out to be unfounded and scurrilous and which the FBI KNEW AND PROVED and yet did not announce to the public before the general.

Remember, he is not really a Democrat, he is "Connecticut for Leiberman Party" or CLAP and was elected mostly due to Republican crossover voting. Ned Lamont would have been great.
