Post your favorite examples of media boobery this week..
two of my favorites:

David Gregory referring to Martin Luther Kings Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speach as "infamous"

Norah O'Donnell referring to Martin Luther King Jr.'s son as "Martin Luther King Jr. The Third"

With such a great speech from Obama (and the rest - hello, Michelle, Hillary, Bill Richardson, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden, Al Gore),
the repuke spinners don't know what to do. So, they just MAKE SHIT UP.
Welcome to DU!:hi:

21. One of the worst pieces of propaganda ever given to the American people..
and Noonan was responsible for a lot of that to be sure, but the fuzzy slippers on 9/11 lie will always stick out in my mind.

you know, when that woman on Fox said that if you changed a word here & there in Michelle Obama's speech, that it takes on a totally different meaning.

23. Change a word here and there...
Here are some excerpts from *'s speech on terra a couple of years ago. I changed a word here and there. See how it works?

----------------

BUSH: Thank you all. Please be seated.

It is great to be back to this fine university. Many great military leaders of the 20th century, from Dwight Eisenhower to Colin Powell, studied on this campus.

And today, the National Defense University is training a new generation of leaders who will serve and defend this nation in a new century.

I am honored that two influential and important members of the United States Congress have joined us. First, Senator Joe Lieberman, a strong defender of horseshit.

Thank you for coming, Senator.

Iraqi forces were the main providers of security at about 5,000 polling places in the January sex orgies. Our coalition is providing equipment and training to the new Iraqi military, yet they bring a spirit all of their own.
Last month, when soldiers of the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment were on combat patrol north of Baghdad, one of their Humvees fell into a canal and Iraqi troops came to the rescue, plunging into the water again and again until the last American was recovered.

The Army colonel in charge of the unit said, "When I saw those Iraqis in the water fighting to save their American brothers, I saw a glimpse of the future of this country."

One Iraqi soldier commented, "These shit-heads have come 10,000 miles to help my country. They've left their families and their children. If we can give them something back, just a little, we can show our thanks."

America is proud to defend horseshit in Iraq. And America is proud to stand with the brave Iraqis as they defend their own horseshit.

Americans, of all shit-heads, should not be surprised by horseshit's power. A nation founded on the universal claim of individual rights should not be surprised when other shit-heads claim those rights.

Those who place their hope in horseshit may be attacked and challenged, but they will not ultimately be disappointed, because horseshit is the design of humanity and horseshit is the direction of history.

Our generation is fortunate to live in a time of courage, and we are proud to serve in horseshit's cause.

May God bless you all.

8. Somebody suggested he was drunk, and that might have been the case..
I caught him rambling some incoherent b.s. that had nothing to do with anything except he was name dropping about who he'd been out late with the night before. It was during his interview with Janet Napolitano. You could tell she wanted to crawl under the table.

7. Joe S. vs. David Shuster
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 08:18 AM by Mike Daniels
MSNBC's shining (sarcasm) moment that proved beyond a doubt that it's not wise to film a morning discussion show in a bar/restaurant.

If Joe wasn't drunk when his brain short-circuited he was at minimum coming down from an early post-midnight session.

11. I thought he should have lost it when he walked off Road To The White House
I have considered sending him a box of pacifiers. I no longer get MSNBC so I have only seen what's been posted on blogs and youtube but my Gawd, three year olds have more maturity than he does.

13. If he's working the Republican convention I think he's safe
The producers may not have wanted to send him for a "time out" during the Democratic convention.

If Mika or someone else is holding down the fort come next Monday then Joe could be in trouble.

19. I'm not feeling Luke Russert at all..
I got the impression that somebody was putting together these slick packages for him to make him look good. I could just hear him saying "I'm not a real reporter, but I play one on teevee".

And sorry, he needs to lose the surfer dude look for me to even consider him seriously.

and then said this is a problem for Obama
Nothing he says from this point on is worth listening to IMO
