Current Info On Contraflow in Southeast LA, Southwest MS
Per St Tammany Parish President Kevin Davis, contraflow will begin at 6:00 PM Saturday (although this is always subject to change.

Contraflow means interstate lanes will all be northbound.

On a Katrina Note, a Jazz Funeral was held this morning in New Orleans for an unclaimed Katrina victim who was later interred at the Katrina Memorial on Canal Street. The body was taken by horsedrawn carriage with a Jazz Band leading the way.

2. We are packed
and will be on the highway tomorrow morning by sunrise. Contraflow is a pretty good idea but its kinda scary being in the middle of it so I want to be way up the highway before it starts. Off to visit my wife's family (that's how we are thinking about it instead of an evacuation.)

4. We'll be fine
I'll just fret over our home. However I do know some of our neighbors will be riding out the storm so our neighborhood won't be totally deserted.
