If McCain wanted to pander...
...why wouldn't he pick Meg Whitman who was the CEO of E-bay?

She has a bachelor's degree in econ from princeton and an MBA from Harvard, and is seriously considering a run for CA governor.

She's smart (except for her backing McCain and Romney), has given contributions to both parties, comes off as serious and competent.

She shores up McSame's economic shortcomings and is a very accomplished woman in her own right. Many considered her one of the best CEO's in America.

It might still be a pander, but at the very least she could actually competently step into the job of Potus.

If we had to have a repuke, I'd rather have her as Potus than McCain.

5. He's probably afraid of smart women
because they would show him for the loser he is.

I can't wait for him to lose his temper at Palin and call her the C-word.

6. Here's why:

I think McCain opted for eye candy. And, given the mindset of the average Repub male...they don't want brains in their women anyway. If Palin had looked like Whitman, she would never have been considered, let alone chosen as his running mate.
