The fact is that the American public responds to this sort of thing. It's been demonstrated again and again that if you aren't willing to fight dirty, you're going to lose the fight. As for Sarah Palin, I know so little about her that I have no idea what her figure is or was like, but most women who have given birth even once (much less 4 times) have a kind of poochy tummy forever after. Loose clothing, a girdle, and people who don't want to pry mean you can keep your business to yourself for a long time.
