If true, this fact could put a disturbing thought into the Rapture Right's "Borg-collective" way of thinking.
It would fester and cause untold harm without anyone here ever addressing it again!

82. The way I conduct my life and how I deal with people with whom I disagree is not the same
as being in a boxing match. Hell, even a boxing match has rules each boxer has to follow and a referee to enforce the rules. What rules are you proposing to follow? Sounds like anything goes for you. Even boxers can't get away with that.

93. I'm sure you're a nice person, pampango, but I hope you're not on Obama's campaign staff.
This is literally a fight for OUR DEMOCRACY. It should be no holds barred on our (Obama supporters') part. We cannot allow them to trash our candidates while we stand aside with our high ideals and our noses in the air letting OUR COUNTRY GO DOWN THE DRAIN.

The voters are the only referees in this match, but in the last two elections there were NO RULES--at least, that the Repugs acknowledged.

Putting the lie to McAnus and Palin's false claims, hypocrisy, and idiocy may be brutal and ugly, but it is in no way inappropriate.

97. In a fight, yes, anything goes.
The fact is that the American public responds to this sort of thing. It's been demonstrated again and again that if you aren't willing to fight dirty, you're going to lose the fight. If you'd rather have a McCain presidency than offend your sensibilities, then fine. But I certainly hope that isn't the attitude of the people running the Obama campaign.

Pregnancy - or the POSSIBILITY of pregnancy - means a woman can't have a career? Motherhood means a woman can't work? Where the f*** have the past 40 years of women's rights gone? And it's being said on a presumably progressive internet message board.

along. Perhaps a woman who is massively obese, but not anyone else.

And her daughter was gone from school for MONTHS. When did she finally make a re-appearance??

Would love to see the birth certificate or some DNA testing on this kid...

60. Some can.One of my mom's friends, who only had three total, concealed the second or third to keep...
... her job as a cop back in the early 1950s or late 1940s. My mom said her friend wore a heavy girdle for 7 months.

As for Sarah Palin, I know so little about her that I have no idea what her figure is or was like, but most women who have given birth even once (much less 4 times) have a kind of poochy tummy forever after. Loose clothing, a girdle, and people who don't want to pry mean you can keep your business to yourself for a long time.

Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 02:27 PM by Xithras
The smaller the baby, the smaller the tummy.

My sister (who is NOT overweight and has always had highly irregular periods) didn't even realize that she was pregnant with her second kid until she was over five months along. She thought she'd been putting on a few pounds and had just purchased a new gym membership when the baby kicked one day while walking to work. It would be an understatement to say that she was shocked (she was on the pill).

Some know, some dont. Some show, some don't. Any obgyn will tell you that every pregnancy is different.

IF that is true than yes it is our business. cause this woman, holding a secret like that, creating a secret, a lie to hide and then present herself in this manner, and IF it comes out.... it certainly says something about the woman.

yes it does

she opened up a can of hurt for her daughter. and what parent does that.

bush drunk on national tv to humiliate daughter. ya, i dont like it
clinton blow job and what it does to daughter
edwards

that bothers me

not the be all end all issue, but says a hell of a lot. kinda like mccains disgunting jokes about women and the names he uses on wife.

would be better if the girl is preg and they say ooops and as a family we will deal with it. that, i can go with. no concern of mine

But so many selfish people let ambition override discretion, and end up humiliating and shaming their own kin in order to satifsfy their own desires for power. Governor Palin knows all too well she will be under a microscope with her family, one would have hoped that she would have spared her daughter this, if such rumors are true. Oh well.

Prey tell, what office is young miss Palin (the daughter) running for? What policies has she written, what political positions has she advocated? How is this any more moral than arguing that Chelsea Clinton was the child of Janet Reno? Both are cruel, unfeeling, and sacrifice an innocent for political purposes.

39. She visited the ME when she would have been about 6-7 months preggers,??
This is about to get juicy. From another list from an Alaskan:

"Well, as we are all sure to find out, the Governor recently had a special needs baby. Or did she? She visited the ME when she would have been about 6-7 months preggers, wore little t-shirts and looked not pregnant at all. The pregnancy was surreptitiously announced shortly after said trip. During which time her 17 year-old daughter missed MONTHS of school with "Mono." And then when she went into labor, she was at a governors conference in Texas, where she FLEW BACK to have the baby. After going into labor..."

can't link to it but this is what I read elsewhere

42. She was in the Middle East the summer of 07
Also near the top of her prized moments as governor was her trip to Kuwait this summer.

"What an incredible opportunity it was to visit with our troops serving in the Middle East. As Governor of Alaska--I was truly privileged to be able to take part in a re-enlistment ceremony for two of the soldiers. Alaska should be extremely proud of the service and sacrifice of our men and women serving in harm's way."

45. Photos. we need photos.
As I stated in an earlier post, no way in hell can a non-massively-obese woman who is pregnant for the 5th time hide that pregnancy until she's seven months along. No. Way.

And NO friggin' way in any friggin' UNIVERSE would they let someone in labor on an *airplane*. WTF?????

Where's the photo of the whole family (including the daughter) leaving the hospital with the precious new addition? And kids don't usually miss months of school with "mono" these days.

the whole story is very, very strange.

Hardly!

41. abstinence classes work just fine
until all that talking about what they're not doing gets them ragingly horny. It's the homework that's the problem.

I also agree that this topic is fair game. If they want to go after my reproductive rights, they have to fess up to their own sins of the flesh.

Passing off your grandkid as your own child is dishonest. Go after the gov, not the girl. If they can go after Edwards for his affair and possible love child, this is in the same category.

54. it might be from Feb-Mar 2009

Picture of Sarah and husband Todd Palin at their home in Wasilla, Alaska. Children are from left, Piper, now age 6, Willow, now 13, and Bristol, now 17. Not pictured is son Track, now 18 and an infantryman in the U.S. Army. Sarah is now 7 months pregnant with her fifth child.

Still trying to nail down the date on this pic but it looks like early 2008 from the blog. The blog is dated March 9, 2008.

This is cheap bullshit, and as proof, one of the strongest pushers of 9/11 Ron Paul Truth is all on board this train to Crazytown.

Congratulations. You've done your best to hurt Obama today. You can go rest up for your next shot at discrediting him.

74. But that is BULLSHIT. It's not true.
It sickens me to watch some (a select few) grab hold of this trash and guzzle it down like mother's milk. It smacks of desperation. It is manifestly false and you hurt your own causes by pumping it.

You are providing cover for Palin by pumping this. Valid concerns against her are going to be tarred with this bullshit. QUIT HELPING.

Jesus Fucking Christ, THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.

Alaska is a sparely populated state, yes, but it's not that small. People were around her all the time. There is no question she had this child. It is insane to think she could have gotten away with this.

102. Agreed. Isn't smear politics exactly what Obama was warning us against last night?
There's more than enough substance to throw at the McCain nomination without resorting to tabloid-quality gossip.

If there were proof of this, it would be all over the net and the airwaves by now.

83. "You hurt your own cause"
are the dead-giveaway words of a concern troll. What would the Repukes do with something like this? Does anyone EVER suggest they "hurt their own cause"? I say we take it and run with it!

Why did you say "YOU hurt YOUR own cause" anyway? Shouldn't it be "WE hurt OUR own cause"? I think you just admitted that YOU aren't part of US--not that I wouldn't know anyway.
