Palin is a Clarence Thomas pick.
Bush I picking Thomas to replace Marshall because he was black, even though his views were everything Marshall opposed. But hey, he's black, so the liberals should just STFU.

Now they say; "Palin's a woman so all you gals who supported Hillary, here's a woman to vote for."

Shallow, deceptive Republican bullshit.

6. That's a stretch. Your entire assumption is based on one case.

2. An anti-choice woman, at that...
...but what the hell, she's a woman so that means she must be just like Hillary Clinton.

I suppose this tapping of Palin means Anita Bryant and Phyllis Shlafly are still dead?

5. Could not have been him.
Obama got where he is today by being smart. That's your Clarence disqualifier right there.

4. K&R - best theory I've heard so far.
Either way, as a recent mom or "mom", she's in an excellent position to emotionalize the abortion issue. I don't know who made this call, but it's far smarter than anything Rove could cook up.

7. Bingo
and i know some very bitter hillary backers that will eat this up like cotton candy.

This could work out very well for him.
Interesting to see how it flies with the conservative barefoot and pregnant, womens place is in the home crowd.

But then again, where else are they going to go.

The pick makes him look like he is going to the center while he doesn't move at all.
Kind of in keeping with his Marvarick reputation

smoke and mirrors.
