How damn small is Alaska's population anyway?

I just did a search...Alaska has a population of 670,000. Coincidentally, 670,000 is the population of Memphis, Tennessee.

Therefore, the Republicans have staked their hope for the 2008 presidential election on a mayor. Literally. Her only other electoral offices were mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, and president of the Wasilla PTA.

Wasilla is part of the Anchorage, Alaska Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2000 census, its population was 5,470. The 2005 estimate gives it a population of 8,471, although the city website lists the population as 6,715.

Now THAT is experience. :eyes:
