Tweety is on GEM$NBC explaining what the REthugs are
up to tomorrow. Says they are going to push for a fund-raising drive 'in the name of country'. Abrams is asking if this can help them.

1. McStorm is trying to show that he can handle a hurricane better
than Bush. Tweety says nothing would have been worse than having split screens with Rethugs partying while Brian Williams et al are reporting on the hurricane.

Rethugs can't fool anyone at this stage.

16. What is bizarre is that JEB Bush actually DID do a good job with hurricanes as FL Gov.
Why didn't W make Jeb his FEMA director in 2006 after he stopped being governor of FL?

Jeb used to get on TV here and give the info himself first in English, then in Spanish and they generally did OK with the storms during Jeb's term.

Go figure...

Doug D.

get to those who need it and all of it will go to the rescuers like Halliburton and Blackwater. They never miss an opportunity to make money even on tragedy.

6. Obama beat them to it,
directing his followers, those who already gave and those who want to give, to donate in order to help the Gustav victims.

Too late, McDick.

Oh, and Obama and Biden on "Sixty Minutes" tonight were sensational, just great.

7. To be fair, Obama's readying his army too :)
Since we don't know yet what's needed afterwards the website's saying "stay tuned" in effect.

Of course we'll do all we can to help recover after the storm.

But then the Dead Loss can always do with money anyway so RNC fundraising for them won't hurt them anyway. As long as we're seen doing something too then it'll be OK.

Mark.

10. Yep
The bottom line is that Rethugs know they do not have 84,000 people in Minnesota and they won't have 44million people watching. They cannot compete with the Democratic party Convention so let's just say that Gustav has been the perfect excuse to scale back the biggest flopvention in history.

22. not if this hurricane turns into a non event
I'm hoping it will die down more , for more than one reason. We don;t need another Katrina, not the devastation, not the neglect, not the police state tactics that were used last time. It would also take the wind of the the pukes sails. I wonder if they're all down on their knees right now praying for the worst?

Well, so much for my fun. Maybe we'll get lucky and Palin will do something really, really stupid to further the cause as to why Obama & Biden should be elected!

12. Another Thing Obama & Biden Can Do...
There will be a need for emergency funding...I'd like to see them call for an Emergency session of the Senate (and Nancy Pelosi to call the House back) for a session to pass aid for the region. No politics, just showing them as men of action.

It's like trying to get blood out of a turnip or a diamond out of a lump of coal.

Even some CEO's are falling on hard times.
