Another Mom facing Sarah Palin's dilemma.
We had a PCA last year a few years younger than I am with 4 kids close in age. She was a respite from me (MS) working with my Aunt in a wheelchair after a stroke. My Aunt gets very, very nervous with new people and it affects her health and they had become great friends. She worked a full schedule with other seniors and had 15 years experience.

The PCA's youngest daughter turned 15 and started acting out and had met and was being intimate with a 20 year old man. She immediately left her job, took the pay loss and saw to her daughters crisis which was resolved in a few months when the 15 year old realized Prince Charming was a frog.

Palin's daughter needed her then, not to cover up for her but to be there for her. Instead of learning from her mistake Palin takes on a job where she will see even less of her children one of which is special needs (child or grandchild Trig is now hers to raise).

Many, many people from both sides of the political aisle say that Sarah Palin makes bad decisions and Cheny should have known that and should never have chosen her.

Unless this was all a stunt. You just never know with Republicans.
