BIG DOG ALERT: President Clinton (past not future, ) to be on Family Guy
Tonight, normally right at nine but I think all of Fox is running late because of NASCAR. Knowing Family Guy it will probably be rude and lowbrow humor but Seth McFarland and the writers ARE raging liberals who slam Bush at every convenience so we'll see. Worth tuning in methinks.

1. They also ran a promo for the show mentioning something about New Olreans
So it's looking to be a Bush slam fest of epic proportions.

6. oh please!!!
Seth McFarlane slams Bush regulary.

I don't see a problem with lampooning Bill Clinton, which by the way, he does NOT do regulary.

22. On the DVD commentary Seth actually admits to being quite an admirer of Clinton
I think its all in good fun. And he is most certainly not a fan of the Bush administration.

23. Whatever he thinks, I've never seen Family Guy straight out praise Clinton.
The part with him and Lois in the hotel was much funnier than the Clinton jokes in past episodes.

24. I think he just did in that very scene you just mentioned, where Lois reiterates his
economic success etc etc

14. In the context of a farce, it is very funny.

And Bill is no different from any other politician.

And since our society likes to dig up all the slime in the world, especially from politicians, I'm not surprised over the proceedings.

I long for the days when Paul Lynde's humor was deemed subversive. :eyes: (which is deemed tame or juvenile these days... yet fart and vagina jokes are mature and sharp, strong humor... :eyes: )

11. I agree, ONE of the funniest shows...
Though I like Futurama as well, and its coming back! I just hope they don't ruin it. I would say they are tied for my favorite comedy shows, tough call.

13. "you people"? Just what are you referring to there? If you can't
tell a total trashing of another person in the name of 3 year-old potty humor, you might at least not insult those people who have a more discerning sense of humor.

16. I'm sorry
I was looking at your comment as a slam on the show parodying Clinton, much as a poster up above did.

IMHO, we need to be able to laugh at ourselves just as much as we do others.

20. what brought a smile to our faces today was the DU thread
that compared and contrasted photos of Clinton travelling abroad in Ghana and showing 200,000 people cheering him and John Kennedy in Berlin with a zillion people....vs. bush now and all those wonderful protestors in South America. Almost every single modern president besides maybe Truman and Ford, committed adultery and we are tired of only Clinton getting slammed about it endlessly.

The episode is a bit... sad... but at least now they can grill Newt with the same treatment next season.

They're showing some bad sitcom instead. I love American Dad.
