Holy Shit. Who knew bush was a Democrat?????

I sure didn't.

But damn. Every repubican on the air is talking about changing "Warshington" (anybody know where the 'r' comes from?) and ending the problems there. Then they talk about how different Johnny is from bush. Then they talk about how bad the Democrats are. Then bush. Then Democrats.

Can you say "Conflation?"

Can you **do** conflation?

Repubicans can.

Does he not care or not realize he has been part of this crowd 20+ years. It amazes me how many times I have listened to them and thought "Do they realize how stupid that sounds?"

3. Warshington is a regionalism.

I grew up in PA warshing my hands, warshing the car, and learning that Warshington is the capital of the US. I thought it was a central PA/PA Dutch thing but I've learned that it's a broader area than that. I don't know how broad though.

As for conflation, they do that well. They also do cognitive dissonance well.

4. Hey I was amazed to find out by listening/watching to KRON in San Francisco

That the Democratic governor of Louisiana was responsible for the loss of life and horrible situation after Katrina.

But now that the Louisianans have a Republican governor, everything is hunky dorey!!

I could have saved some years of my life if I had only earlier realized how wonderful these Republicans are!!
