I have to admit that made me laugh out loud. Maybe I've been under a rock, but I hadn't seen this variant of his name before.

Despite my appeal to avoid ageism a few weeks ago, I found that amusing.

I noticed the stock market drop earlier today. I figured it was the Palin slump.

Or perhaps profit taking is outpacing short sellers, and pork bellies are undercutting weather futures. Or something like that.

3. Good Lord!

I try not to pay too much attention to the stock market because it's too depressing.

What I don't understand is how so many Wall Street types (brokers and the like) are Republicans. You'd think that they, of all people, would notice how badly the stock market does under Republicans.

Plus, of course, you'd think this sort of thing would cure anybody of wanting to privatize social security and have us all put our money in the market.
