I'm seeing it everywhere... including here on DU... "Sarah Palin is Pro-Life"
Using the phrase "Pro Life" is falling into their hands. it implies that anyone who is for women's right to choose is "pro death" or "anti life."
We are all "Pro Life," regardless of how you feel about abortion, roe v wade, etc...
Everytime you hear someone say that, regardless of which side they're coming from, correct them!
People are not even "pro abortion". It's about rights, not actions. Big difference.
This is not a nuance. It's very simple!
It's more accurate to say she's "against women's rights"
when it comes up, why not reframe the issue, turn it around and bring up the issue of birth control? Where does she stand on that? What percentage of people in the country are actually against birth control? It has to be one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard. yet if you google it you can find numerous references to Sarah Palin being against the use of birth control, even for married couples!
She's not "Pro-life." We're all pro-life. In fact the democratic party is pro-life because we're against the war.
Just using the term "Pro-life" is allowing them to frame the issue, playing their game. We must stop!
