Get ready for another hike in copays and deductibles. Study: Workers to pay more for health care
A survey being released Thursday by the Mercer consulting firm found 59 percent of companies intend to keep down rising health care costs in 2009 by raising workers' deductibles, copays or out-of-pocket spending limits.

1. Yup...no choice
We raised deductibles, copays and limits and still got hit with a 7.5% increase. With no change we would've had a 20%+ rise in premium. We did keep employee contribution level and absorbed the cost. The increases are staggering, year after year.

Don't worry though....John McCain has the answer. A tax credit that comes nowhere close to paying for insurance. Then he'll tax the premium that our employer pays...just to add insult to injury (but he's not raising taxes). Nothing about guaranteeing coverage so if you live in one of those states with medical underwriting and have a medical condition....tough shit.

That's some change!
