I'm sorry, but no one harboring longings for Armageddon should be allowed near the "nuclear football"...

10. The most dangerous couple on the planet
Ahmanson gave the start up money for the electronic voting machines

Howard and Roberta Ahmanson
The Financiers: Money makes the Word go round, and this wealthy, conservative Republican couple takes a dizzyingly ecclectic approach to funding evangelism. The projects that savings-and-loan multimillionaires Howard and Roberta Ahmanson have paid for over the years through Fieldstead & Co., a private philanthropy in Irvine, Calif., form a cornucopia of faith-based activism, including an institute linked to the antievolution intelligent-design movement and a study of social endeavors by Third World Pentecostal churches. The couple have been accused over the years of having an extremist agenda, mostly because a onetime pet charity, the Chalcedon Foundation, advocates the Christian reconstructionist branch of theology that says gays and other biblical lawbreakers should be stoned. Howard distanced himself from those views and resigned from the foundation board years ago.
The couple, both 55, now are warning powerful conservative Christians about the pitfalls of hubris in the aftermath of their victories over liberals last November. Says Roberta: "Christlike humility and the lives of human beings should be the goals."

9. If push came to shove, I don't think the elites would let her make the decision.

Whether it's with a gun or threats by the real leaders, the only decision she would be making is what to eat while she hides in her bunker. And I don't mean this to sound like conspiracy bullshit...I'm simply saying that the generals and the joint chiefs of staff would never let her push the red button, unless they decided it was necessary to ensure mutual destruction.

and purged her governments of any all that did not support her or her extremist views.

She would appoint extremist fundamentalists to the highest levels of government - including the JCS.

and she would find many to willingly follow her down the rabbit hole...

I teach with a person who lived in Wassila 20 years ago, and who was a member of her congregation when he was a kid before his family moved from Alaska. He says when she talks about Iraq being "God's will" and such, it is not red meat thrown to the fundie base by cynical politicans who are using the fundies. She is the base they've thrown that red meat to for years. He went ballistic when he heard she was the pick.
