Alaska will give the Palin family $22, 883 this year
Each Alaska resident, regardless of age, is entitled to receive an annual check from the Alaska Permanent Fund, whose assets are comprised of oil royalties and investment returns. Because of the high price of oil, this year's distribution is anticipated to be larger than usual -- $2,069 according to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell. On top of that, each person will receive an extra $1,200 from the state treasury to help offset soaring fuel prices. http://tinyurl.com/6ktmvz

To be fair, the eldest son is no longer a minor, but that still leaves $19,614 the family will get this year. Don't you wish your family would be getting a $20,000 government hand-out?

BTW, the Repugs no longer call Levi Johnston, who impregnated Bristol, her boyfriend. Now he is her "fiance." Want to bet the wedding will be planned to most benefit the GOP for the election?

2. Oh, you know she will.
Why would good taste and/or dignity suddenly intrude into their lives?

Here's something that occurred to me - just a thought - suppose Bristol miscarried?

Would there still be a wedding?

4. It's larger this year partly because Paler added a windfall profits tax on oil companies
something the repukes and mclame oppose nationally!

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2008103...
Republicans in Congress this June united to defeat a proposed windfall tax on oil companies, deriding it as a bad idea that would discourage investment in U.S. oil exploration.

Things worked out far differently in the GOP stronghold of Alaska, a state whose economic fate is closely tied to the oil industry.

Over the opposition of oil companies, Republican Gov. Sarah Palin and Alaska's Legislature last year approved a major increase in taxes on the oil industry — a step that has generated stunning new wealth for the state as oil prices soared.

Interesting read! It's easy to be Chief Executive of a State with a $12 billion STATE BUDGET for less than 1 million people when $10 billion comes from the OIL COMPANIES!

Alaska gets $10 billion in revenue from BIG OIL (windfall taxes by the STATE), yet McCain opposes windfall taxes NATIONALLY on oil companies.

Why is it OK for Paler to tax the OIL COMPAINES and help manage the budget of Alaskans and the State, but not the rest of the country?

6. Why isn't my state taxing every drop of oil that is pumped through it?

And then kick it back to us residents for some walking around money?
