OK, I'm all for nailing Palin (so to speak) on things, but this "spit on the baby" ...

I remember an old "Baby Blues" comic strip ... the "daddy" couldn't get a stain out ...

The mother came over, licked a washrag, and cleaned up the mess (I am not sure, but it might have been on the kid's face). She "knowingly" said "Mommy spit ... the universal solvent"

I remember all kinds of references of mothers wetting things with their mouths and wiping kids' faces and such ...

Now, the daughter is pregnant ... so I would believe the "mommy spit" enzyme should be activated, right?

I've heard that "mommy spit" beats "Formula 410" (new commercial I've seen for the first time ...)

1. They sure played it a lot.
I thought it was hilarious.

Gotta admit when I see how my sister does some of her mommy duties I kinda cringe lol.

2. I spit on my kids occasionally, but not on tee vee.
And not on a Downs baby, who are prone to infections.

The way they drag that baby around really bothers me.

5. They baby was from the very beginning a prop, that's the problem
That girl was surrounded by thousands of germ carrying folks and I sorry but who know where her hand had been, privacy of your own home one thing crowds of strangers another

6. Sorrowful John-Edwardsesque
Palin runs amok and her already disjointed family will suffer in the wake of her fearless ambitions. These kids are dangling bobbles on display. Their every public appearance will be a trial that may scar them more than the forced life and foibles they've already endured. I pity them and pity Palin. She is at her zenith now and the fall may be even less wholesome than her jolting arrival.
