Last I checked, Congress never declared war on Iraq.

Last I checked, Bush declared "Mission Accomplished" on May 1, 2003.

Last I checked, Iraq has been comprehensively shown not to have any WMD.

Last I checked, the Iraqi government wants the US to exit.

So, John McCain, how is it that doing as Barack Obama has consistently said he would do as President, in any way, a defeat?

Peace,
Bob

1. No one dares say that Iraq would have been fine even without the surge.
Sounds outrageous, but it is just what we need. Had we pulled out of Iraq years sooner, they would already be far more settled than they are now. Sure, there would have been trouble at first, but the Shiites would have stood up sooner, and the Sunnis would have "awakened" sooner. The Bush/McCain plan was to simply stay around until the inevitable happened.

2. The illegal occupation and the surge were both failures. The Iraqis just signed an oil deal with the
THE CHINESE. Darth Cheney's master plan just blew up in the neoConvict's faces.

3. Yup. McCain and Palin are whistlin' past a graveyard.
It's a failure, if it is realized.
