McCain would probably die in office
John McCain is currently 72 years old. The average lifespan for a male in the USA is 77 and McCain has already had multiple cancers. That means Sarah Palin would become president.

Just sayin'.

1. I read there is a 40% chance he would not make it to the end of one
term.

3. Not exactly
Average life expectancy at birth is 77 years, maybe. For each year you actually survive, there's a bump. Having made it to 72, he now has a life expectancy of another 14 years.

That's an average, of course, and many factors (including previous cancers) would go into measuring his "personal" life expectancy.

5. Correction
That was an overall number. A 72 yo male has a life expectancy of 11 years.

6. What does being President do to those numbers?
We all have seen how the office ages anyone. What would it do to a 72 year old man?

7. I'd say that job stress
Is definitely one of those factors that should be considered. I was only pointing out that "average life expectancy" is only meaningful at birth.

8. Never underestimate the power of a voting base that shares the same brain.
A Rasmussen poll came out recently. I . . . this is unbelievable . . . well, really it's not, considering that, again, I live in a nation of doorknobs . . .

Q. If necessary, is Palin ready to be president?

Yes 40%
No 44%
Not Sure 15%

:wtf:

Q. Who has better experience to be president, Palin or Barack Obama?

Mind you, Palin is not RUNNING for president, but the results?

Obama 49%
Palin 44%
not sure 8%

So, that makes 52% of lobotomy patients, racists, dickheads and sub-idiots.

Astounding. Absolutely Amazing and Astounding.

I used to think that the idea of the average voter having to take a test before he or she is allowed to vote was ridiculous . . . I'm actually starting to rethink that opinion when I read shit like this.

15. I've thought that for a while
Granted, I actually am an elitist (in that I think society should be run by the best and brightest) but I've always felt that the problem with democracy is that the masses are so damn stupid.

10. But you have to take into account that he would get
the very best of the best health care available, the kind that's too socialist for the rest of us. He might live to be 110.

11. He can/will be forced out before he dies
For medical reasons.

The far-right cabal that is installing Palin would love to shove out McCain. And she's conniving and self-serving enough to lend a hand. Look for him to be marginalized very quickly with Palin and the cabal taking over. He may or may not remain as a figurehead. If he doesn't play ball well enough, then he will be asked to step down and there'll be a big patriotic hanky-wringing send-off.

13. Mc Cain's life expectancy from Acturial tables.
I posted this a while back so it's a repack.

MC CAIN'S FIRST TERM CHANCE OF DYING 15.19%

AGE---DYING PROBABILITY
72 ---- 0.032978
73 ---- 0.036086
74 ---- 0.039506
75 ---- 0.043415
TOTAL - 0.151985

MC CAIN'S SECOND TERM CHANCE OF DYING 22.04%

AGE---DYING PROBABILITY
76 ---- 0.047789
77 ---- 0.052464
78 ---- 0.057413
79 ---- 0.062789
TOTAL - 0.220455

THE ABOVE IS FROM A STANDARD ACTUARIAL TABLE OF LIFE EXPECTANCY.
THE FACTS ARE THAT THERE IS A 37% CHANCE OF MC CAIN DYING IN OFFICE
AND PALIN WOULD HAVE 2 CHANCES IN 5 OF BECOMING PRESIDENT BY ASSUMING
THE PRESIDENCY

14. Thanks
As you might have figured, I was just using the average at birth.

Out of curiosity, what are the chances of Biden having to take over due to Obama's death?
