Poll question: The City of Los Angeles is proposing that lobbyists wear ID badges, but only ...
... when they are "at any city-sponsored event and any other location where they are "engaged in lobbying."

The lobbyists have called the proposal equivalent to wearing "yellow arm bands".

The city's Ethics Commission has created a four-page lobbying proposal in the hopes of avoiding instances where lobbyists meet with city officials on behalf of companies or issues without making their intentions known by registering with the commission.

The question is: is requiring lobbyists to wear ID badges more like employers requiring employees to wear ID badges or it is really like the "yellow arm bands"?

3. Don't some businesses and maybe some government sites provide visitor badges?
They want to know who is authorize to be there and if there are any restricted areas they shouldn't be.

5. Like when you attend a rock concert and have to wear a bracelet, or
when you attend a convention, you have to wear your credentials hanging from your neck, or when you work at a store, you have to wear a name badge..Oh the humanity:)

I'd go one step further and have the badges say:

Hi, I'm

(name goes here)

Sleazy moneygrubbing whore
representing

(company name goes here)
