It's perfectly OKAY for republicans to "nationalize" banking/the market/mortgage loans
by using TAXPAYER DOLLARS to bail these FRAUDULENT scammers out, after they have been GUTTED?LOOTED/ROBBED/EMBEZZLED by republican cronies,

BUT

It's just plain WRONG to even mention that there are a few industries/business sectors that CRY OUT for "nationalization"..those being:

INSURANCE (especially home-owner)
HEALTH CARE (insurance is the problem here, not the solution)
ENERGY (exploration, refining, delivery)
The same people who LOVE to remind us that :the market knows best", fall all over themselves while they STEAL tax money to bail out their buddies, because those frauds are just "too big" to be "allowed" to fail.. Isn't that "interesting"?

Just HOW did they get to BE that big?? Where was the oversight while they were growing and growing and growing? Anyone ever hear of audits?? accountability??

Money-scams are a TRADEMARK of republican administrations..It's no accident that most democratic adminsitrations that follow republicans spend most of their time cleaning up the messes..

that's the way business is done in the GOP's America. We all exist for the benefit of the top.001%.

2. Exactly correct. Who would even want to clean up this mess?
The lessons of history are so easily forgotten until it is too late or well past the 11th hour.

AND all the while Palin has been cutting checks to her people in AK
from the profits of the oil companies! UnREAL! I thought Republicans didn't like socialism!

17. That's a fact I think more Americans need to learn.
I think too few Americans know about the oil royalties (payoffs) going to Alaskans. And there might be a backlash if they were to become aware.

18. I wasn't aware until I visited Blue_in_AK last summer.
It is incredibly socialist. Palin has NO idea what life is like for people in the lower 48 and Hawaii who don't get a fabulous kickback from their state government every year.

19. E X A C T L Y . . . Alaska provides little experience that translates
She had minimal experience as mayor, where she was forced to hire a city manager because of early controversies related to bad decision making; and then she's governor over a socialist state, not having to worry about budget shortfalls, or income tax. You could hardly have a state where the experience is less relevant.

Yet she still struggles to hold it together. Just look at the Alaska National Guard and the meth problem in her own hometown, as a couple examples.

Maybe all three. The message will become clear when we get new masters.

11. I think it was Mort Zuckerman on MSNBC saying this morning
that eventually all the big 3 automakers would merge because they won't be able to make it any other way! How do like them apples?? We'd have a "socialized" auto industry, too!! lol

8. number five-- off to the Greatest page....
Excellent points. When the well has been wrung dry it's OK to nationalize industries to keep the profit pump alive, even if on life support. But when there's still money to be squeezed from sick or desperate people, it's a free market, baby.

10. GOP loves the "deregulation corruption bailout" cycle...
its great for padding the CEOs' golden parachutes. The republicans love to talk about free markets yet are hearty supporters of corporate welfare.

Thanks,
Matt
