OK Obama Campaign - pay attention
The same old Republican party of liars and 'talking points' is attempting to reinvent itself by attempting to use the word change.

Would you please frame the debate in terms of why a party that has been in power for eight years suddenly needs to change. Is that not an admission of abysmal failure. Cite the fugging polls related to people's views about a country going wrong.

What have they done so badly that they need to run from their own 'gods' Bush and Cheney? Even delegates at the Convention avoided Bush and Cheney buttons.

Why do they need to morph into something else (based on LIES) if Rethugs have been so good for the country.

If they need to change to win an election it's time to throw the lying bastards out once and for all. It is the same old corrupt party - a leopard cannot change its spots.

Wake the hell up please.

1. Yeah, that is a childishly easy frame to build...
it should be echoing from the hilltops, but in fact the GOP is at this point getting away with it.

Frame the debate, or lose.

4. Thats what our son was saying last night
They talk about change and its all the same ole tired people, how is that gonna be change? He also said he thinks that mcWantsit picked sarah only to try to court the Hillary voters. DIL said yeah, that pisses me off too to think that they think we would vote for her just because she is a she. I say the kids are right on.

5. I can't stand posts like this
I can find you several examples of BOTH candidates saying exactly what you suggest. How about highlighting some of those?

Playing off of McCain’s convention line, “change is coming,” Obama mockingly said, “Now think about this coming from the party that’s been in charge for 8 years, they’ve been running the show - been up in the White House!”

While speaking to families in rural Indiana, Obama went on a tirade as he dismissed the notion that a McCain administration would bring about change. He tied the McCain campaign to corporate lobbyists saying, “Who is it that he’s going to tell that change is coming? I mean come on - they must think you’re stupid!”

And he repeatedly linked McCain the Bush Administration, suggesting that his policies would be a continuation of the past. “What are these guys talking about?” Obama asked. “Do you think we haven’t been paying attention over the past 8 years?”

Obama also blasted Sarah Palin, arguing that despite her claims of being a reformer, she is a “skillful politician.”

“When you’ve been taking all these earmarks when it is convenient and then suddenly you are the champion anti-earmark person. That is not change, come on. I mean, words mean something. You can’t just make stuff up.”

8. They are doing that. Friday, Obama got laughs about it in
Indiana, iirc. He was laughing about that "change" ticket and pretty soon, the whole audience was laughing.
